On Monday, Canada will celebrate Thanksgiving. My roommate gave me a history lesson on its origins (which differ quite a lot from the American Thanksgiving origins). I won't retype them here. But you can
check wikipedia if you want.
We made a big dinner. It was yummy.
A turkey, rubbed with rosemary, thyme, and majoram, fully stuffed, ready for roasting. |
The table set for dinner. |
Lemon pepper broccoli with garlic, stuffing, mashed red potatoes. |
Gravy, balsamic winter squash with rosemary, carved turkey, and cranberry martinis. |
It was delicious. Also, my roommate has some crazy tendencies. For example, making sure every last bit of meat has been stripped off the turkey bones so that absolutely nothing is wasted. She's pretty Dutch.

My roommate getting all the meat off the bones for freezing. |
She's very excited about the stripped clean carcass. |
