Waffles for Breakfast

My favorite thing about lazy Saturday mornings is waking up at 6 am (my normal wakeup time) and being able to roll over and go back to sleep.

My second favorite thing about lazy Saturday mornings is big breakfasts.

We made waffles this morning.

I put cut up a banana, threw it in a pan with some cinnamon and sugar, and then heated it up on the stove.  I put peanut butter on my waffle, topped it with the heated up bananas and some homemade whipped cream.  Everything got all melty and gooey.  My roommates used other various fruit and whipped cream toppings.

Delicious.  And very filling.  I could only eat this one and a couple pieces of breakfast sausage.

They were called Dutch Cream Waffles and were both delicious and easy to make.  I found the recipe in a very large cookbook my roommate owns, The Taste of Home Cookbook.
